Stahlwerk ARC 200 MD Digital Arc Welder Part Number 6904
STAHLWERK ARC 200 MD Digital is a particularly compact and lightweight DC electrode welder for universal MMA/E manual welding. With a welding current range of 10-200 A, it covers numerous applications in the repair, assembly and workshop sectors.
Thanks to its single-board design and the latest generation of IGBT technology, the device delivers stable welding currents with high thermal stability. The set welding parameters can be conveniently read off the clear digital display: The various modes can be set quickly via the intuitive menu.
Hotstart, Anti-Stick and ARC-Force ensure a clean start and a stable process: Hotstart supports the ignition, Anti-Stick prevents the electrode from sticking by automatically lowering the current and ARC-Force stabilizes the arc with short arc lengths and increases the penetration – particularly helpful with cellulose and basic electrodes.
In addition, the VRD function (Voltage Reduction Device) can be activated manually to reduce the output voltage to a safe level when idle, as long as no welding is taking place. The reference current function can be used to select a recommended current (material thickness 1.0-10.0 mm and electrode diameter 1.6-5.0 mm).
The device then automatically sets the appropriate welding current – the function is deactivated for manual readjustment.
In combination with the optionally available STAHLWERK WP-17V welding torch, the versatile inverter welding machine can be converted into a TIG welding machine with lift TIG (contact ignition) – ideal for finer work on steel and stainless steel.
Smart cooling, intelligent temperature control (demand-controlled fan) and protection functions against overheating/overload, together with the robust ST-Guard housing, ensure high operational reliability and a long service life.
Features & benefits
- Hotstart (optimized start): Automatic voltage increase during ignition improves the start quality, reduces electrode sticking and warms up the start of the seam faster.
- Anti-stick (against sticking): Automatic lowering of the welding current when the electrode sticks enables easy release and prevents overheating/annealing of the electrode.
- ARC-Force stabilizes the arc with short arc lengths and increases penetration – particularly helpful with cellulose and basic electrodes.
- Smart cooling and overheating protection (maximum power can be called up): High-performance cooling with integrated overheating protection for reliable continuous operation and safe power output.
- VRD (Voltage Reduction Device). Manual on/off switching of the VRD function enables the output voltage of the welding machine to be reduced to a safe level to protect the operator when touching the electrode while welding is not taking place.
- Electronic protection package: Overheating, overvoltage and overcurrent protection increase service life and operational safety.
- Demand-controlled fan: Fan only runs when required – resulting in less dust ingress and lower noise levels.
- Robust ST-Guard housing: Ergonomic, shock-resistant, with easily accessible control panel for use on construction sites/workshops.
- 230 V operation: Single-phase connection 230 V / 50-60 Hz, fuse protection with C characteristic as per manual.
Functions of the Stahlwerk ARC 200 MD Digital Arc Welder
- MMA electrode welding / ARC welding as a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode to form the weld seam. No shielding gas is required and can therefore be used flexibly at any location.
- A current recommendation can be selected using the practical reference current function (material thickness 1.0-10.0 mm and electrode diameter 1.6-5.0 mm). The device then automatically sets the appropriate welding current – the function is deactivated for manual readjustment.
- The Stahlwerk ARC 200 MD Digital has a lift TIG mode (DC TIG) and can therefore be quickly converted to a DC TIG welding machine with the optionally available WP-17V universal lift TIG torch.
- Lightweight & compact design: Only 3.4 kg weight and dimensions of 269 x 116 x 187 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
- The welding current and all other set parameters are easy to read on the clear digital display. The welding current can be set from 10-200 A simply using the operating buttons.
- IGBT technology: The latest and most modern transistor technology enables maximum performance and duty cycle at full power! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT. The high switching frequency ensures stable welding currents, thermal stability and high efficiency with flexible, mobile usability.
- Highest efficiency & performance: Single-phase alternating current (230V) supplies the device and allows an output power of 200 amps.
