What is ArcReach Technology? Miller ArcReach Technology explained.
Effective Strategies to Boost Productivity in Your Construction Operation:
Meeting construction deadlines requires efficient productivity, yet many job sites struggle with delays due to a shortage of skilled welders, unwieldy equipment, and time wasted walking back to the power source to adjust settings. Discover how the Miller XMT 650 ArcReach Systems can streamline operations, helping you save valuable hours and reduce project backlog.
Efficient Process and Polarity Control at the Weld
Operators often spend unnecessary time and increase safety risks walking back and forth to the power source to adjust processes and polarity. With the XMT 650 ArcReach power source paired with an ArcReach wire feeder, welders can switch processes and polarity right at the feeder, including toggling between welding and gouging at the press of a button. This keeps operators focused on the weld joint, reducing downtime and the risk of job site injuries from trips, slips, and falls.
ArcReach technology also eliminates the need to swap leads for switching between self-shielded flux-cored welding and gouging. This quick-change capability is particularly beneficial on structural job sites, allowing operators to stay productive without the hassle of changing cables. For fabrication shop operations, ArcReach systems reduce the time and maintenance required for cable management, as there is no need for control cables.
Miller XMT 650 Addresses Voltage Drops and Maintain Weld Quality
Voltage drops are common when long weld cables are needed to reach the work area. These can lead to troubleshooting time and inconsistent weld quality if adjustments aren’t made. The XMT 650 ArcReach System’s Cable Length Compensation (CLC™) technology automatically ensures that the voltage set by the operator is consistent at the weld, even when the power source is hundreds of feet away. This maintains optimal weld quality while minimizing time lost to rework or troubleshooting.
Enhance Equipment Mobility with the Miller XMT 650 Welding Machine
Transporting welding power sources can be a time-consuming task, particularly on pan decking or in large fabrication shops. Makeshift carts and sleds are often less than ideal. The XMT 650 ArcReach System includes preassembled mobility solutions that make equipment movement efficient and hassle-free. The field sled, equipped with rollers, easily moves the Miller ArcReach wire feeder across decking, while the shop cart option, featuring casters and a low-profile handle, allows smooth movement across the facility and under I-beams. These solutions improve portability, saving operators time and reducing physical strain.
Minimize Rework with Smart Technology
A shortage of skilled welders can lead to inconsistencies and increased rework, but the XMT 650 ArcReach Systems are designed to support operators of varying skill levels. Auto-Process Selectâ„¢ automatically configures the power source to the correct weld process based on polarity, reducing the risk of using incorrect settings. Additionally, operators can quickly revert to previous weld settings, which minimizes setup time when switching between processes like flux-cored welding and stick welding. This flexibility ensures consistent quality and reduces rework.
Achieve New Levels of Productivity with the Miller XMT 650 ArcReach Welding Machine
The XMT 650 ArcReach Systems empower your team to reduce downtime and enhance productivity while improving safety and weld quality. By addressing key productivity challenges with these advanced features, your operation can stay on track, reduce project backlogs, and meet deadlines with ease. Learn more about how XMT 650 ArcReach Systems can elevate your construction productivity today.
Auto Remote Senseâ„¢ enables unit to automatically use remote control if connected to remote control receptacle.
14-pin receptacle has the flexibility to be used with spool guns, feeders, and remote controls. Arc control is active in the stick and solid-wire processes. It allows the operator to customize arc characteristics to match preference, electrode and joint design from a softer arc with more fluid puddle to a stiffer arc with a more controllable puddle. The Star setting is optimized for most applications and pointing the control at Soft or Stiff is optimal for most arc preferences. Control is fully adjustable from 0 to 25 Soft or 0Â to 25 Stiff.
