The Miller 160 Si  is a 160 amp Inverter Based MMA welding machine. This Miller machine runs on a DC power source and is easy-to-use for the welder to use, due to its simple operator interface. This allows the welder to only adjust necessary controls on the machine, rather than having a range of settings and not understanding what options do what.

The Miller 160 Si holds some of the best characteristics for Stick Arc, making it capable for work on a range of applications.

This lightweight inverter Welder is extremely portable, weighing only 5.2kg. It comes with a shoulder strap, meaning the welder can easily move the machine from one place to another.

Miller Welding Machines make use of Dual Fan Technology. This is a high performance cooling system that allows the Miller 160Si to operate at low temperatures, increasing both performance and the Miller Welder’s life cycle.

In the case of overheating, the Miller Si 160 has thermal overload protection with an indication light. If the machines components reach a certain temperature and are at risk of damage, the machine will cut out the power supply. This may be due to duty cycle being exceeded or airflow being blocked.

The Miller machine features a VRD (Voltage Reduction Device). This Miller technology reduces the voltage to 20 volts when the machine is not in use, saving energy and increasing the machines life cycle.

The Miller 160 Si has a preset Hot Start function, suitable for Stick Arc Starts. This function increases the output amperage at the start of a weld, preventing the electrode from sticking and creating an inclusion. This feature is only available on the Si Model of the machine.
