MIG Brazing Wire C9 CuSi3 – 5kg 0.8mm Copper Silicon Spool
This MIG Brazing Wire C9 (CuSi3Mn1) is a high-quality copper silicon brazing wire designed for automotive and sheet metal applications where low heat input and corrosion resistance are essential.
Commonly used by UK car bodyshops, fabrication workshops and vehicle repair specialists, this wire is ideal for MIG brazing galvanised steel, zinc-coated panels and high-strength Boron steels.
Because MIG brazing operates at a lower temperature than conventional steel welding, it significantly reduces distortion and helps preserve the mechanical properties of modern high-strength automotive steels.
Shielding Gas: Pure Argon Required
Supplied on a 5kg spool 0.8MM Diameter

Benefits of C9 MIG Brazing Wire
Lower Heat Input
The reduced melting point (980°C) minimises panel distortion and burn-through on thin automotive steel.
Maintains Base Metal Strength
As the parent metal is not fully melted, tensile strength in high-strength steels is preserved — essential for safety-critical vehicle structures.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance
The copper-silicon composition protects galvanised coatings and improves long-term durability.
Clean, Smooth Finish
Produces low-spatter, bright copper-toned welds requiring minimal finishing.
Strong Gap Bridging Performance
Excellent wetting and flow characteristics make it ideal for thin or dissimilar materials.
Remember Health and Safety is important when welding, please see HSE welding safety recommendations before welding.
