Co2 Heater 230Volt
This Co2 gas pre heater allows flow of up to 40 cfh without risk of freezing or noticeable changes in flow/ pressure. Fits onto a CO2 cylinder and heats the CO2 gas prior to entering the regulator to prevent damage to the regulator in high flow applications.
For more information about using Co2 as your mig welding shielding gas, please have a look at the following article Bernard/Tregaskiss Shielding Gas Basics.
What is CO2 heater?
Co2 Heaters prevent CO2 regulators from freezing up & prevent loss of gas flow. They are easy to install and cost-effective.

CO₂ Heaters – Essential Protection for Your Gas Supply
COâ‚‚ heaters are designed to ensure the safe and efficient use of carbon dioxide gas in a variety of industrial and commercial applications. They work by gently warming the gas as it exits the cylinder, preventing issues like pressure drops, gas flow disruptions, and regulator freezing that can occur when COâ‚‚ is released at high flow rates or in cold environments.
Without a heater, rapid COâ‚‚ withdrawal can cause the cylinder valve or regulator to freeze, reducing gas flow and creating operational delays. COâ‚‚ heaters are a simple yet crucial solution, ensuring a steady, reliable gas output while protecting your equipment from potential damage caused by extreme cold.
Common Industries and Applications for CO2 Heaters:
-
Breweries and Beverage Production:
COâ‚‚ is widely used in breweries for carbonation, purging tanks, and moving beer through pipelines. Consistent COâ‚‚ flow is critical for maintaining beverage quality and production efficiency. A COâ‚‚ heater prevents line freezing and maintains steady carbonation levels, especially in colder environments or during high-demand periods. -
Welding and Metal Fabrication:
In MIG welding applications, COâ‚‚ is often used either as a pure shielding gas or as part of gas blends. High-volume COâ‚‚ use during welding can lead to frosting and inconsistent gas delivery, impacting weld quality. Using a heater ensures that the shielding gas flow remains stable, which is vital for strong, clean welds. -
Greenhouses and Agricultural Use:
Controlled COâ‚‚ enrichment in greenhouses helps stimulate plant growth. When larger volumes of COâ‚‚ are released, heaters prevent freezing at valves and regulators, ensuring the optimal delivery of COâ‚‚ needed for consistent crop development. -
Food Processing and Packaging:
COâ‚‚ is heavily used for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) to extend the shelf life of perishable foods. Reliable gas flow is crucial to maintaining product quality and packaging speeds. COâ‚‚ heaters help avoid costly downtime caused by gas supply issues. -
Fire Suppression Systems:
COâ‚‚ is used in some fire suppression systems, especially in environments where water cannot be used, such as electrical rooms or data centres. Heaters ensure the system can deliver the required volume of COâ‚‚ instantly without freezing equipment.
Key Features of Our COâ‚‚ Heaters:
-
Efficient Heating: Designed to warm the gas without affecting purity or pressure levels.
-
Easy Installation: Fits directly onto the COâ‚‚ cylinder or regulator, depending on the model.
-
Durable Construction: Built for industrial environments with robust materials and long service life.
-
Safety Focused: Reduces the risk of regulator freezing, hose ruptures, and operational shutdowns.
-
Energy Efficient: Low power consumption while delivering reliable performance.
Why Choose a COâ‚‚ Heater?
Whether you’re brewing craft beer, performing MIG welding, or managing a high-demand industrial process, a COâ‚‚ heater is a smart investment in operational reliability. It not only protects your equipment but also ensures uninterrupted production and better quality control.
At Norsemen, we offer a range of high-quality COâ‚‚ heaters suitable for different cylinder sizes and flow rates. Our team can help you select the right model for your specific application, ensuring optimal performance and peace of mind.
