Safety First: Protecting Yourself When Using Handheld Grinders

Personal Protective Equipment
Always wear proper PPE when using a handheld grinder. At minimum, you need eye and face protection such as safety glasses and a face shield, thick work gloves, long sleeves and safety shoes or safety boots.
A respirator may also be needed to avoid inhaling any dust or particles generated during grinding. Wearing the right PPE can prevent injuries from flying debris and skin contact with the grinding disc.
Inspecting the Grinder
