MSA Altair 5X Multi-Gas Detector
The Altair 5X Multi-Gas Detector is MSA’s latest member of the Altair Gas Dection range. The MSA 5X Gas Detector has the ability to detect up to 6 different gases at the same time. The Altair 5X features an integrated PID sensor to assist with VOD detection, along with MSA’s trusted XCell Sensor technology.
The Altair 5X Multi-Gas Detector senses combustible gases in LEL / volume percentage range. It can sense oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur, dioxide, ammonia, chlorine, VOCs and range of others. The integrated pump allows for consistent gas flow to prevent picking up externally attached components.
MSA’s Altair 5X is made with a durable overmolded polycarbonate housing. This makes the gas detection device extremely durable, and has been tested to survive a 10 foot drop.
The Gas Monitor’s XCell sensors last even longer, having a life cycle longer than 3/4 years. The Unit requires much less calibration gas for testing and configuration.
The Altair 5X Multi-Gas Detector has a range of features, such as MSA’s MotionAlert & InstantAlert than inform other of a user’s immobility & provides a manual alarm to alert others of dangerous situations. The device has large buttons and a extra bright display for easy use. The device has a warning to alert the user when the sensor is nearing its end-of-life.
