Stahlwerk MIG 200 Double Pulse Synergic Mig Welder
Stahlwerk MIG 200 Double Pulse Pro fully synergistic welding machine with AK25/MB25 aluminium welding torch and wear parts set for aluminium welding.
The high-performance STAHLWERK MIG 200 Double Pulse Pro inert gas welder has a convenient pulse and double-pulse function and works with up to 200 amperes. The special double-pulse function enables clean, precise welding of thin sheets. The double-pulse function is particularly useful for processing aluminum, as the welding current is controlled at an optimal frequency to the wire supply and the oxide layer is cleanly broken up. The finely regulated control of the temperature creates an optimal penetration to form a defect-free weld seam without pores.
Another advantage of the robust 17.25 kg combination welding machine is that it can also be used for MMA/MMA welding.
Functions
- Extensive, dual pulse function in MIG welding prevents materials from burning through at low root heights and reduces deformation due to heat. Therefore, the MIG 200 Double Pulse Pro welding machine is particularly suitable for welding thin sheet metal and materials that must only be heated a little.
- The Stahlwerk MIG 200 Double Pulse Pro works on the basis of an advanced IGBT module with state-of-the-art inverter and control technology.
- The Stahlwerk MIG 200 Double Pulse Pro welding machine can be used to machine and weld non-alloy, low- and high-alloy steels such as steel, stainless steel and aluminium alloys.
- Thanks to the pulse function and advanced torch ergonomics, welding can be carried out in all known joint shapes (butt welds and fillet welds) and positions (riser, drop seam, transverse seam).
- Convenient selection of twin, spot and continuous spot operating modes as well as other special welding functions.
- The Stahlwerk MIG 200 Double Pulse welding machine is suitable for the use of solid welding wire (steel, stainless steel; ø 0.8 – 1.0 mm and aluminum; ø 1.0 – 1.2 mm) and cored wire. This means that a wide variety of materials can be processed and welded.
Features & Benefits of the Stahlwerk Mig 200 Double Pulse Synergic Mig Welder
- Universally applicable 3 in 1 combination device. MIG, MAG and MMA welding is possible up to 200 amps.
- Built-in Volt Reduction Device (VRD). To increase safety during welding, the open-circuit voltage U0 is reduced to 14 volts in MMA mode. The welder automatically detects the start of the welding process and then increases the open-circuit voltage to up to 62 volts. VRD is factory default and cannot be turned off.
- Built-in job memory allows you to set preferences and parameters to complete repetitive work efficiently and quickly. Jobs and parameters can be restored. This makes it possible to work comfortably without spending a lot of time on set-up times.
- The 2T/4T (MIG) mode allows control of the operating mode and provides extended control over the current curve in Special 2 and Special 4 stroke modes.
- Automatic wire feed for precise regulation of the wire feed speed in direct dependence on the set welding current.
- Extensive adjustment options in terms of amperage and functions via intuitive graphic interface in the display.
- Highest Efficiency & Performance – Single-phase alternating current (230 V) powers the device and allows an output power of true 200 amps.
- Smart Cooling & Overheating Protection – State-of-the-art technology, integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum performance to be achieved during welding.
- Suitable for use with the following inert gases: 100% Ar, 100% CO2, 2 % CO2Â + 98% Ar, 20% CO2Â + 80 % Ar. This ensures efficiency, energy savings and strong arc penetration with low weld deformation.
- The spool mandrel ensures the friction-free pick-up of 50 mm wire spools and is not suitable for 1 kg wire rolls with 16 mm spool spool holder.

What’s the Difference Between MIG and MAG Welding?
Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Metal Active Gas (MAG) welding are gas metal arc welding (GMAW) processes that use heat created from a DC electric arc between a consumable metal electrode and a workpiece which melt together to create a weld pool that fuses to form a join.
Only inert gases or gas mixtures are used for the shielding gas when MIG welding. Typical inert gases used for MIG welding are argon and helium. These gases are usually used for MIG welding of aluminium and other non-ferrous metals.
MAG stands for Metal Active Gas.
Active gas mixtures have been developed primarily for welding steels. Typical shielding gases are mixtures of argon, carbon dioxide and oxygen e.g. CO2Â , Ar + 2 to 5% O2Â , Ar + 5 to 25% CO2Â and Ar + 10% CO2Â + 5% OÂ 2Â .
The composition of the shielding gas has a substantial effect on the stability of the arc, metal transfer and the amount of spatter. The shielding gas also affects the behaviour of the weld pool, particularly its penetration and the mechanical properties of the welded joint.
In the US, both MIG and MAG welding are described by the term GMAW ( Gas Metal Arc Welding).
